BlueBioTech GmbH has been active in the field of micro algae biotechnology since the end of 2000. Our core competences include innovative research and development of our own products as well as mission oriented research. Our fundamental focus is marine biotechnology, so-called "blue biotechnology". As one of the few worldwide companies, BlueBioTech GmbH in Büsum produces micro algae for various fields of application. BlueBioTech GmbH, in Büsum at the North Sea, is a spin-off of the Christian-Albrechts-University's Research- and Technology Center Westcoast (FTZ) in Kiel. Our research and application of innovative technology proved successful in the exploration and controlled cultivation of barely researched and arduous cultivable micro algae, as well as the development of its commercial utilization potential. At the end of 2002, our successful business development instigated the founding of BlueBioTech International GmbH in Elmshorn, making an expansion of our marketing and distribution departments possible.

"Our knowledge for your well-being". True to our company philosophy, we develop, produce and sell finished products for natural dietary supplements based on micro algae, special vitality products and natural cosmetics. Moreover, we develop individual compositions upon an OEM-basis. In the summer of 2003, our own BluBio® product line (dietary supplements) was successfully introduced onto the market. BluBio® is selectively distributed and can be purchased in pharmacies, through retailers and in the internet at www.blubio.de. We have superior requirements concerning the quality of our products. In close collaboration with persons in the medical profession as well as holistic practitioners and in strong cooperation with BlueBioTech GmbH in Büsum within the fields of research and development, product innovation and technological improvement, we experience notable synergy effects through scientific and commercial competences. International joint venture contracts make it possible for us to envelop the complete value creation chain. Production and quality assurance are of course carried out according to the state-of-the-arts.
